Biography

A versatile, talented pianist with an extensive repertoire and beautiful arrangements, Paul provides a sophisticated and entertaining experience for your event! Paul is a versatile and highly experienced pianist, with a comprehensive repertoire of classical, jazz and contemporary music. As a composer, Paul prides himself on his ability to adapt the style of his repertoire to the occasion, whether it be jazz, pop, ragtime, latin or classical. Think of Mozart in a ragtime style; Stevie Wonder made classical; The Beatles jazzed up; stairway to [latin] heaven! Paul obtained his BA in music at the University of Sussex and went on to achieve his MA in composition, writing a symphony in the process. He is now the musical director for the Brighton Jazz Orchestra and the University of Sussex Big band. Paul is also an accomplished and experienced band leader for a number of function bands. Paul is friendly and approachable, and always happy to help with repertoire choices so you can tailor his performance to your event. Paul has played at numerous venues in the Uk and has held residencies at prestigious venues such as Quaglinos and Le Pont De La Tour. He has performed for the Disney cruise line and has travelled widely, performing abroad in many countries, including Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Spain, the Bahamas and the USA.
