Just a bit of feed back from Saturday nights Entertainment. Steve’s 60’s – 80’s guitar. Excellent! He was having some electronic problems this became evident when he started and experienced feedback from his guitar. To his credit he continued his set whilst trying to solve the problem between songs. He eventually achieved a satisfactory sound and completed and excellent program with a double header oh boy and wake up little Susie Segway seamlessly two conclude. He has a very relaxed relationship with the audience and I doubt they were aware of how difficult it was to produce the quality program he was able to.

Today Maidstone Care Centre welcomed Elvis. Elvis engaged with each and every resident. He gave them a mic to sing into, walked around the room, told jokes in-between songs and remembered residents name to incorporate them into the entertainment act making it individually person centred. We cannot sing Elvis's praises enough and look forward to inviting him back again.

Alison Sings gave an enjoyable request set & got asked for multiple encores! The same for Rock & Roll Roxanne, especially as she made Good Friday a truly memorable experience. She had very challenging circumstances to cope with, given it was our Easter Party and the venue was jam-packed. Yet she gave a stunning performance. Modifying her act to include a lot of sing-alongs and crooners, in view of the occasion. The latter in particular being loved by the gentlemen, as she serenaded them! But I must say that everybody had a fabulous time.

One resident joined on the last song and she started dancing. Charrise, dressed in a country and western shirt and jeans, sang a great selection of C & W and 60’s music. She chatted and interacted with all the residents throughout the show and during the interval. As she had a portable mic she came right into the audience and danced a little as she sang. I made Charrise aware that it was a residents birthday the next day so she lead all the guests in singing happy birthday. 2 residents danced during the show and at the end when Charrise was asked for an encore and she sang “Dancing in the Street” 6 residents, my colleague and I were dancing :) Her show was very well received and I was immediately asked when she would be back. A resident, who can not attend events, could hear her from afar and enjoyed the show too
