About Martin Jazz Sax

Martin grew up in Switzerland and picked up the saxophone at age 17. He studied music in Paris at the Cèntre d´Information Musicale and at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern. Martin has lived and worked in New York, Berlin and Vienna before coming to the UK. Martin plays a wide repertoire of classic jazz tunes, and his saxophone playing is a striking blend of blues and swing. His warm and round sound reflects those of legendary saxophonists Coleman Hawkins, Lester Young, and Stan Getz.
